Framer Templates

There are over 3,000 Framer templates on the marketplace. Roughly 2,700 of them are variations on the same dark hero layout with the same gradient blur effect and the same "Trusted by 500+ companies" social proof row.

The other 300 are worth your time.

This guide is that 300. Every template here has been evaluated for actual design quality (not just screenshot quality), CMS implementation, mobile responsiveness, and whether the creator has updated it in the last six months. If a template fails mobile at 375px, it's not here. If the creator abandoned it after one release, it's not here.

What makes a Framer template worth your time in 2026

Four things.

Mobile-first layout. Not just "responsive" — actually designed for mobile. Hero sections that restack cleanly, navigation that works on touch, and font sizes that remain readable at 375px without requiring the user to pinch and zoom.

Maintained CMS. A blog that was set up correctly and hasn't broken in a Framer update. CMS collections with proper field types (rich text, not just plain text), working slug-based URLs, and a post layout that handles long-form content gracefully.

No abandoned animations. Scroll-triggered effects that were tested in the version of Framer that shipped them. Framer updates frequently; older animation implementations sometimes break. Templates that were last updated more than a year ago have a high probability of broken animations on current Framer.

A creator you can contact. When something breaks (and something will break), you want a creator who responds within a few days. Check the creator's Framer profile for recent activity before buying a paid template.

Free vs. paid Framer templates: when each makes sense

Use free templates when: you're building a portfolio, validating a product idea, or your customization requirements are straightforward.

Use paid templates when: you need eight or more pages, you need a complete CMS with multiple collection types, you need features like a pricing toggle, a changelog, or a documentation section that free templates don't include.

The hidden cost of a free template that doesn't have what you need is the hours spent building the missing pieces from scratch.

Where to source: Framer Marketplace vs. independent creators vs. Mantlr

Framer Marketplace (framer.com/templates) — The official source. Best for free templates. Quality verification is inconsistent on paid templates.

Independent creators: Bryn Taylor, Wize Templates, Pentaclay, Velox Themes, framerbite. These creators ship at a higher quality ceiling than the average Marketplace template. Worth following directly.

Mantlr — Every Framer template in this guide is listed on Mantlr with last-updated date, license verification, and direct source links. Browse the full Framer templates collection →

How to customize a Framer template in under 2 hours

Hour 1: Clone. Swap all headline text with your actual copy. Replace hero image with your product screenshot or brand image. Change the primary color to your brand color in Site Settings > Styles.

Hour 2: Update the CMS (blog post, case study, or project collection) with 1–2 real entries so the CMS layout renders properly. Check mobile at 375px — fix anything that breaks. Publish a preview link and review on a real phone.

After hour 2: The rest is iterative polish. Don't let perfect be the enemy of live.

FAQ

Are Framer templates one-time purchases?

Yes. Paid Framer templates are a one-time purchase from the creator. You own the template file. Framer hosting is a separate monthly subscription.

Can I use a Framer template for multiple client projects?

Most templates are sold as a single-project license. To use the same template for multiple clients, you need to purchase multiple licenses. Some creators offer multi-site or agency licenses — check the template page.

Do Framer templates work on the free Framer plan?

You can design and edit on the free plan. Publishing to a custom domain requires a paid Framer plan ($14/mo minimum).

What happens to my site if the template creator stops supporting it?

Your site continues to work — Framer hosts your published site independently of the template. Updates from the creator stop propagating, but your existing implementation is unaffected.

Are there Framer templates for specific industries?

Yes — the Framer Marketplace has filters for SaaS, portfolio, agency, ecommerce, real estate, and more. Quality varies by category; use Mantlr's curated collection to find the verified best options per industry.
